Microsoft Internet Explorer/Netscape 2.0: While viewing your page in its display window (not Home Page Builder), just select the browser menu option "File ... Save as ..." and select a directory and name for your page. |
|
This is sometimes the hardest part. Here are some ways to do it, from the easiest to the hardest:
|
Hey, good idea! In fact, you can type in any title you want for either likes or dislikes, and use the lists for whatever information you want to have on your page. |
Launch the other application, load the document that has the text you want, and select the text by dragging the mouse over it. Select "Edit ... Copy" or press the toolbar copy button. Now launch your browser and select "Home Page Builder." Put the cursor in the text entry area you want and select "Edit ... Paste" or press the toolbar "Paste" button. |
Here is a sample entry: The complete URL * address for www.neatplace.com on the Word Wide Web is http://www.neatplace.com. But the prefix (http://) can only be one of a small set, so you get to select it from a list of prefixes using the "Type of Service" drop-down list. This just saves you a little time. Then you type in the rest of the address (www.neatplace.com) in the field marked "Address." Finally, under "Descriptive Name" you type in how you want the link to look to your readers (A Really Neat Place!). This entry produces a link that looks like this: A Really Neat Place! (point your mouse cursor at this link — you will see what it points to at the bottom of your browser's display). This is a classic Hypertext link. It contains a URL address for computers to read in the first two fields (http://www.neatplace.com) and it contains a descriptive name for humans to read in the third field (A Really Neat Place!). | |
